I've dabbled at writing songs for as long as I can remember — strictly for my own amusement. About two years ago my nephew, Ben (award-winning author, film-maker and founder of The Human, Earth Project), offered me a challenge: to record an 'album' to share online.
The idea did not appeal. Over time (and with much encouragement), however, the thought of completely finishing some songs grew on me — and after all, why not?
Here, then, is that album.
I am not a musician — I don't so much play the piano as play at the piano — and I certainly can't sing (evidence on request). Instead I decided to record my songs using music notation software as my 'instrument' (I use Noteworthy Composer). That means all the sounds, including the voices, are synthetic. Please note: don't expect to hear human voices on the album.

These tracks have all come up really nicely, and make a solid collection together. Well done, I hope you've taken a moment to appreciate what you've achieved. The Geoffbeat logo is awesome :)
(BUT - - where's Slow Shoes?? That's one of my favourite tracks, I thought it'd be on here for sure!)

Well, the album wouldn't exist without your urging so in that respect it's also yours. Delighted that you're pleased with the result.
As for Slow Shoes, you have inside knowledge on that one. Sorry, it'll have to keep till the next album, if one eventuates.
